I've been a member of the forum for a while, but I haven't been too good at keeping up with forums. I'm trying again with a few of my fave forums and a few highly recommended ones. This is one of the highly recommended ones. My friend Stefani, aka mommyenterprises, sent me this way.I'm Shannon, single mom to a 7 year old boy. I came home full time last April. While it's been rough, I don't think I've second guessed my decision to make the transition. My main business is graphic design/desktop publishing. I've got that going pretty good now, and while I'm always looking for new clients, especially ones where I get to be creative ;), I feel like I'm steady enough to start playing with some of my other ideas.Ideally, I have a single work at home mom site that I'd like to expand into a forum/membership site. I also have a single parent podcast that I recently became new owner of. I'm a little behind on getting that up and running, but I've got somebody working on the theme for the site right now and I plan on having everything ready to relaunch as soon as she has that ready.I had a heart for single parents long before I became one. I think there's a reason for that and plan on following that path as I feel it's where God is leading me. I never planned on being a single parent, and while ideally, I'm sure God didn't necessarily want me to be either, the fact is I am. Since He knew that all along, I feel that's why I've always had a heart for single parents. He put that there.Well, ummm, this turned into more of a book than I intended.
